Diploma in Electrical Installations (Level 3) Programme

All our courses are designed to cover the full range of topics and tasks as laid down by the awarding body in response to industry requirements. You will learn advanced specialised areas of electrical installation that will enable you to develop skills in science technology design and inspection & testing of electrical installations. Upon successful completion learners will be awarded with a full level 3 City & Guilds diploma which is recognised as an industry standard qualification for practising electricians.

Entry Requirements

• Four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4; which must include GCSE English and Mathematics AND successful full completion of City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installation at Level 2.

Assessment Method

• The course is assessed via a combination of on-line assessments practical assessments short answer paper based questions and the completion of a portfolio.

Aims of the course

• To further develop the skills knowledge and understanding of electrical installation gained at level 2 to be able to pass all theoretical and practical assessments at level 3.

Progression Opportunities

• As well as being the level needed to gain future qualification as an electrician completion of the level 3 diploma will enable learners to undertake further study of 18th edition wiring regulations inspection & testing and design & verification courses.

Facilities

• The course will be based around classroom and workshop sessions. Learners will have the opportunity to study science and technology learn the design principles of an electrical installation and carry out the theory and practice of inspection & testing and fault finding & diagnosis. In addition learners will study topics such as environmental technologies and career awareness.

Career Options

• On successful completion of this qualification you will have the practical skills and knowledge to further you career within the electrical industry by gaining industrial experience as an electrician's mate or improver to work towards becoming an electrician.
