This course combines practical and theory lessons allowing learners to apply their skills and knowledge before assessment. Modules cover photovoltaic systems their workings principles components design installation commissioning client hand-over and maintenance including fault finding. Assessment includes multiple-choice papers a short-written answer paper and a practical evaluation.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants should have experience installing electrical installations within domestic and/or non-domestic premises and have already achieved an N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) and a 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification if not included in the above qualification. Stand-alone technical certificates will not be considered.

Assessment Method

  • The assessments for this course will consist of multiple-choice question papers short written answer paper and a practical assignment.
