Job Description:
- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in line with the sub-contractors Health and safety plan.
- Including HPL health and safety requirements
- Sign up all RAMS and follow them when at work
- Unload scaffolding from a lorry
- Create a stable base on the ground
- Put up scaffolding poles and attach horizontal tubes to them
- Fix scaffolding to a building
- Lay planks across scaffolding for workers to walk on
- Fix guard rails and safety nets
- Check the scaffold is secure before handing over
- Take down scaffolding at the end of a job
- Understand the value of the materials that are being used and look after them.
- Understand waste is to be minimized.
- To work in partnership with other Contractors and work as a team
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- A team player and have with a flexible approach
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 1 Diploma and preferred previous site experience. This is required to enable the apprentice to complete the NVQ L2 in the time given.
- Displaced apprenticeship looking for support to complete in 6 months.
- Knowledge of scaffolding works is preferred.
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good practical skills.
