Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design delivery on our projects and become part of an established team preparing for future organic growth from solid foundations. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of electrical design, development, and implementation while working closely with the internal team, our clients and wider external stakeholders to deliver and ensure successful outcomes whilst being fully supported by an experienced leadership team.

The role offers an opportunity to develop and grow our electrical team and influence the direction of the team over the medium to long term. We are looking for an individual who wishes to contribute to a positive culture of continuous improvement, learning and sustainable growth of our team based on our core values and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as project lead, ensuring delivery of our clients’ scope.
  • Act as electrical lead and deliver the electrical design for projects.
  • Support and influence the growth and direction of the electrical team.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Supports team in identification of training and development needs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and surveys, deliver design reviews and produce reports, specifications and drawing packages whilst consistently ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, best practices and the agreed brief.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, schematics, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes which achieve the right balance managing expectations, design, cost and risk whilst sticking to our primary objective of achieving positive change.
  • Exhibits and promotes an inclusive mind-set in performing consultant responsibilities and in the support of colleagues throughout Elevate and externally.
  • Assists in pursuing business development and bidding opportunities under the direction and support of senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Other relevant experience would be considered.
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical design and development, with a strong background in analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering projects from concept through to handover.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with a commitment to being at the leading edge and delivering quality.
