Job description:

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the daily control, management, and coordination of site activities
  • Keeping a detailed diary of works planned and carried out by sub-contractors
  • Ensuring our sub-contractors are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and checking they understand what is required
  • Contributing to site progress meetings
  • Building positive working relationships with sub-contractors
  • Solving issues on site and monitoring risks
  • Ensuring health & safety is adhered to, including site inspections, and conducting site inductions.  
  • Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is received, reviewed and communicated where necessary
  • Logging and resolving any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas
  • You will be involved in all aspects of construction project delivery from concept design, through to construction, commissioning, validation handover and into operation.
