Tell us about yourself and where you work...

Hi, I'm Cory Ricketts, Social Value Manager with Mace Group, responsible for overseeing the social impact of our project development activities at 81 Newgate Street and 10 Gresham Street in the City of London, and Timber Square in Southwark.

Mace Group Ltd is a global consultancy and construction firm headquartered in London employing nearly 7,300 people across five continents. Some of our iconic buildings include The Shard, Battersea Power Station, London 2012 Olympic Village and Tottenham Football stadium.

How did you find out about the LSBU Green Skills Hub ?

The Hub reached out to me via my longstanding contacts at Streatham Job Centre in October ’23, with a view to inviting a Mace representative to their Lambeth Green Skills Jobs Fair. I have since supported by hosting a stand at the LSBU Graduate Careers Fair, and (alongside colleague John Llamas) assisted with the LSBU Green Skills Bootcamp reunion by providing mock interviews. Further to this Mace, will now be partnering with LSBU (South Bank Innovation) for their upcoming Net Zero Bootcamps, strengthening the working relations even more.

How has the Hub helped to fulfil your business needs?

The Green Skills Hub has been proven invaluable in providing a platform for interested parties to learn about the newly emerging ‘green’ industry and what this encompasses, and through our collaborative works we at Mace have been able to provide insight into how these skills & attributes relate to the construction industry – both in its current guise as well as moving forward as it moves toward more sustainable operations.
